A wall was torn down to create an open concept living, eating and cooking space. This second floor south-west facing condo required window treatments that allowed for not only privacy but also temperature control.
Just off the main living area, the bedroom with it's adjacent balcony is a little oasis. We prioritized a king size bed, black-out blinds that were hidden during the day to allow as much natural light as possible, a boxwood hedge to break up the concrete and a variety of texture and lighting.
The view from the kitchen made cooking a pleasant experience. A fabric pendent was added over the eating area along with undermount lighting.
Accents throughout the space were chosen to be cohesive but also add variety. A built in ladder on the wall makes it easier to reach the tall cabinetry and open shelving throughout the home.
This open concept chef's table at the island allows for eating regular meals but also entertaining while cooking. Mixed lighting makes for a great nighttime ambience. The glass door fridge adds an element of luxury and surprise.
Behind the sofa, acoustic panels were used for both audio purposes for the entertainment centre but also to reduce noise from the living area to the bedroom.
Commuters Paradise
This client wanted multiple outdoor living areas for their large family. The gardens, designed and installed by Kait, needed to be seasonal, function and be pleasing to the eye from many viewpoints.

This massive outdoor pergola with the 26' tall wood burning fireplace is the perfect area to unwind after a busy day surrounded by nature.
This side entrance leading to the indoor pool is it's own little oasis with birch trees, hydrangeas and a mix of seasonal perennials. Here we mixed both formal and informal styles of gardens which complements each other well.
This front entrance is a show stopper. Planted with seasonality in mind, it looks good year round. The sweeping tree lined driveway invites you in.
This informal style garden off the front entrance of the home features more birch with a mix of echinacea and hydrangea. The natural limestone boulders create a natural layering effect.
A massive retaining wall separates the upper terrace from the lower guest patio. With their own BBQ guests who visit for longer stays can enjoy some privacy and the formal gardens provide a beautiful visual from inside.
This aerial view is a different perspective of the project and how intentionally designed each element is.
